On May 3, 2015, Team Big Hero Michael — a team led by 6-year-old Michael Mosier who was battling a DIPG brain tumor — was recognized as the Top Fundraising Team at the Race for Hope – DC.  With over 270 team members, Team Big Hero Michael raised over $119,000 that will be dedicated to pediatric brain tumor initiatives by the National Brain Tumor Society and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure.  The Race for Hope brings together 11,000 people who participate in the race to help in the fight against brain tumors.
