Defeat DIPG Foundation Joins with Childhood Cancer Community to Rally Against Kids Cancer
The Michael Mosier Defeat DIPG Foundation was honored to join together with other families, advocates and supporters, as part of CureFest 2015, held in Washington, DC. The weekend events included a rally to the U.S. Capitol to raise voices to seek more government funding for childhood cancer and an all-day gathering on the National Mall where over 80 childhood cancer organizations shared information with the public on ways to get involved and support the fight. Though a scheduled “Night of Golden Lights” candlelight vigil in Lafayette Park in front of the White House was disrupted, there was nothing that could quash the spirit, energy and determination of the passionate group who banded together to make a difference. We were honored to stand with so many impressive voices in the childhood cancer community, and we will look forward to participating again next year.
